So im driving into gtown last night and my dash starts smoking like crazy... i pull over.. right next to the ukranian embassy of all places and my car lights up like the 4th of july. Long story short.. ukraine embassy called the po po and said it was a terrorist threat.. i get questioned.. car burns .. the end.

My helmet and my passenger seat for my bike where bunrt to ashes as well

So Im parting out whats left of my 98 Jetta if anyone needs some parts.. help a brutha out!!!

That obviously sounds like an electrical problem. Looking in the trunk of the car, I saw you had a woofer in there.

My guess is that: if you had a sound system in the car..., the hot wire that runs from the battery to the fuse, went bad and shorted out.

Come to think of it, my car fire was with a VW! I had a '68 van and the fuel hose would come off the carb sometimes and spray fuel all over the hot engine. You know the rest. I always kept a large drink handy, but one day it burned too bright. I sold it at a garage sale for $75. I wish you better luck with your sale.
