NASCAR to race in rain for 2015 - September 24, 2014, 01:59 PM

1. NASCAR announced a number of rule changes on Tuesday, including elimination of preseason testing at Daytona and that the Sprint Cup Series will race in the rain on road courses -- if the weather doesn't cooperate.

Have you ever watched one of the road course races?
It's like watching hippos try to dance. I think most passenger road cars could run the courses almost as adeptly if given slicks and race brakes.

Giving them rain tires and making the "good ole boys" do it

Too bad NASCAR can't be more like the Aussie's V8 Cup series.

Trucks and Nationwide already do race in the rain on road courses.

Shit I love V8 Supercars!!! I don't watch NASCAR one bit. Just saw this on msn after reading the article on Tony Stewart. Funny though V8 has raced here in the US in correlation with NASCAR.

NASCAR has a certain appeal to it that you don't get in many other forms of racing.

It's like watching a flat track national.

Super close races going on all throughout the grid.

I could do without the hammered rednecks, but nascar wouldn't survive without them.

I'm a casual fan of the sport, so you won't catch me traveling all over the country with my Dale Jr gear on, but I've made an effort to attend a few races.

I'd like to see them in the rain at WG just for the comedy of it.

My biggest gripe about NASCAR, despite the pig like car stats, is the stupid points system. How about you get points based on your finish, and that's it.

One of my favorite finishes in V8:
