NC Police shootout - June 18, 2011, 12:00 PM

Just a glimpse into how suddenly things can get real on the job for a police officer.

1) The cop shot him in the back.

2) He lets the man nearly bleed to death on the ground and doesn't even offer to help him.

Did this cop get fired yet?

That was pretty intense! Probably a little too nice from the start imo.
Once he probably should have waited for the warrant to come back, call back up, and moved forward with extreme caution.

I was happy with this video out come, and get a chance to teach next rookie in case same situation.
Just imagine the other way around, cop would have been laying there with no help in the dark left to die and see headlights passing by. Dude probably going to take his gun and car.

The next time a cop seems to be a bit of a hardass about where and how you move around while they are standing on the side of the road with you remember this video.

I learned a long time ago the best way to piss a cop off is to make them nervous. I don't make any movements when they are close to me (and at the most risk) unless I've cleared it with them first. If they say "Can I see your registration?" I say "yes sir, I'll have to open my tankbag to get it if that's ok" before I make a move.

Obviously illegal profiling started this whole thing. If the cop had just left him alone it would never had happened.
