If you have a recovery cd or the windows cd that came with it, you need to reboot from the cd and do the repair option, it may be missin a DLL file, I hope this helps.

+1. The repair may fix it. What O/S are you running?

+1. I have XP Pro CDs as well if the diagnostic you're running doesn't work.

Hey Guys!

Diagnostic found errors...but, does not go thru repairing them? Whats the point?

Will have to take you on that offer for the Windows XP Pro disk....

The Dell Tech support guy said I need Service Pack 2 and that I should boot from the disk, then run some C:FIXBOOT C: command??? I'm confused!
