Need A Couple of Guinea Pigs - October 15, 2013, 01:14 PM

I spend A LOT of time driving in my truck (40-50K miles /year; most of it in the DC/Balt metro area, so, a LOT of time sitting on my fat azz).

With the new MD law regarding celly use; I have a dash holder and bluetooth speaker, but I hate both the windshield holder and the dash/vent holders. They are too far away; I can't see details of the caller or my GPS function from that distance. If I leave it on my lap, it ends up on the floor.

I'm working on a couple of prototype smart phone holders that will allow hands free operation but allow close up viewing while driving in a cage.

I am looking for a couple of folks that drive a lot that have smartphones. I want to work out fitting varying size phones as well as curing daily use/annoyance issues. I'm tired of buying stuff that doesn't work as advertised or is made crappy and falls apart.

I will have prototypes of a couple approaches ready in a couple of weeks; I need a couple folks to test them hard to see what works and what doesn't.

I'll give copies of the final production design to the folks that help me out.

PM me and I'll send a quick questionnaire.

What you need to develop is a HUD for phone and GPS.

Got a BUNCH of responses; Thank You.
If you've responded but haven't gotten a PM back, you will tonight.
I have more than enough folks to test.
I'll be contacting everybody shortly with details.

I have a couple of very simple designs; I just want to find out which is the most usable, practical and will last.

Maybe non of them are worth a crap, but at least I'll know...
