Need a new car. - October 26, 2006, 08:33 AM

Ok guys, I need suggestions! I need to buy a car. I want to spend about $20,000. WIll buy used. But, I dont know what I want! Want something sporty. But,I carry people and a lot of stuff. Was thinking SUV but I dont trust Amerian cars. I LOVED my Acura! It was an AWESOME car. Was looking at a 2003 Acura 3.2TL Type S. I guess I wantes something that keeps its value, will last a long time and DOESNT break down EVERY OTHER MONTH! Was considering SUV's..I fell in love with a 2005 Acura TL for 30,000 but just cant afford it..

Any suggestions?

Get the new Toyota Land Cruiser or a 4Runner. I have the 4Runner with a v8 and its a freaking rocket off the line! Try Jim Colemans in Bethsda,Maryland. Got a great deal with no hassel from them! Nobody came with in 3 grand of their price!

If you want an SUV look at the Pathfinders.... you can get one a couple years old in that price range. I love mine. I can also point you to a good salesman, PM me if interested.

My bike run's on snake oil.... thanks to BG.

If you're looking for something sporty with great AWD, look at the Audi A4s. you can get a 2002-2004 for your price range.

The TL is a nice car, you may also want to look at the TSX, it's a lil bit smaller but still a nice car. I have a WRX and love it so I can recommend that car as well although it is a compact so the rear seat room behind the driver is a bit cramped if the driver is tall. As far as it in the snow it works great if you have decent all season tires, the STI comes with straight up summer high performance tires so you will need a second set. I've also heard a lot of good things about the mazda 6.

Yep you can't trust American cars. Thats why GM products took 8 of the top 20 spots in the JD Power relieability catagory. More than any other manufacturer. Thats why my (now my ex's) Suburban has over 80k on it and has never needed any thing more than normal maintence.

For 20 grande you could buy a fully loaded Cobalt, or a Malibu, or Impala, HHR, Colorado, Silverado, Fusion, Focus, etc and have money left for a few track days.

4runner! I had one and i'm thinking about picking another one up soon. I'm selling my Civic Hybrid.

Don't get an used Audi, I had a couple of them and they are not reliable.
