Smile .net saved another member, thanks onel0wcubn (GREAT MEMBER) - September 23, 2008, 07:03 PM

I posted a thread last weekend about my computer crashing. I'm a full time student and being in the engineering program as a senior, my computer is everything!

It crashed last Sunday and the hard drive seemed cooked, many of my computer friends and IT people told me right off the bat that it was useless, no more saving the data, unless you want to spend a couple grand.

So i posted on here, and sure enough within hours I had a dozen responses to my thread, a couple different people PMed me and asked me what I needed or how they could help; onel0wcubn, Arc, Rekoniz and a few others.

I replied to onel0wcubn and he wanted to help immediatley, i met with him that Monday night (yesterday), we sat in his apartment complex rec room for almost 3 hours with NO luck. Instead of throwing in the towel, telling me good luck and sending me home empty handed, he offered to take my comptuer and see what he could do with some more software and hardware.

Sure enough, today, not even 24 hours later, he texts me saying he got the info. off of the hard drive with a ghost image. So i thought great, at least I have my info. back, then he text's me again, saying he fixed the entire computer and get her up and running again.

I cant tell you enough how much I appreciate everyone's help, and onel0wcubn went out of his way to help a complete stranger, I had never met him before or even heard of him, yet sure enough he helped me without question. Again, thank you onel0wcubn for all your help and knowledge as well as time.

This board is full of good members, I've been helped with mechanical issues, registration issues, inspection issues, even picked up after a wreck, bike has been hauled off after a wreck, and now my computer has been saved again by another .net member, thanks again, ride safe, and know that I appreciate everyone's help, thanks everyone!!!

Way to go onel0wcubn

This is what I love about .Net. The people you meet who help you out, who teach you things, who are concerned about you.
