Exclamation NEW! Basic Photo Class Starting - September 17, 2009, 08:16 AM

We've just concluded the 1st Photo Foundation (learn to 'see' better and get your camera off Auto) Class and it was a success!

I'm going to host another class which will start in two weeks. Cost for the 2-hour once a week for six weeks class is $160.00.

Class will be held on Tuesday evenings 7:30 pm -9:30 pm in Tyson's Corner, VA.

We will cover:

Composition
Understanding Exposure / the Exposure Triangle, White Balance & Aperture Priority / Shutter Priority Modes
Lens Selection & Depth-of-Field
Capturing the Moment
Using Shutter Speed for Effect
and a whole lot more!

Each week you will be given a specific assignment for class critique the following week. This is a valuable tool for understanding what you are doing right and where you need to make corrections.

There is room for 10 people. If you would like to attend, please send me an email by 09/23: cliff@cliffowen.net

If you are on the fence wondering if this class is worth it let me help you out.

YES!!!!! I learned so much in those 6 weeks that it changed the whole way I not only made pictures but also how I looked at the world.

Cliff is great a breaking it down so that you understand what he is talking about. He has a way of making the most complicated stuff seem so easy. You will be amazed at how much better of a photographer you become in 6 weeks time.

TAKE THIS CLASS

Yeah i agree with Nubbs 100%. I learned things about my camera that i didnt even know existed...like how to use all the didnt settings and what they do to a picture. Great great class and you wont find a cheaper one in NOVA.

And it's fun. I always looked forward to Tuesday nights.

I think the critique was my favorite part. You really get an idea of what you're doing right and wrong when you hear what others have to say about your pics.

When we took it, it started at 7:30. By then traffic had died down.

Does this mean you've given up on the idea of a point and shoot class?

Cliff's class - September 17, 2009, 01:48 PM

Another testimonial - you WILL learn a ton, no matter what your interest level is for photography. Cliff will show you how to "see," which will do more for you than any piece of photographic equipment will. Also, for the price, this is one of the best deals in photographic instruction around.

I dont think he said that he wasn't doing the other one. I think he's gauging interest for this one.

They would occur at different times. I think he said the point and shoot would be three classes: two on a weekend and one weeknight. This one is every Tuesday for 6 weeks.

Cross posting this on another forum I'm on for others to sign up. This is an excellent class and well worth the time and money. Cliff is offering an INCREDIBLE deal when you think that comparable classes in DC are going for close to $100 more.

If you are interested in learning what your digital camera has to offer, talk to Cliff and attend his classes. It is definitely well worth it.
