Thanks to JohnnySpeed954 for the help in evaluating all the cars I looked at. Then after saying no to several cars, BlackHatch suggested looking for old C4 vettes.

On a whim, I decided to check out a REALLY low priced one. The guy was real upfront about the condition of the car.

interior not so great, needed a headlight switch, but the motors are good. Actually the switch works but it's getting worn out. Needs A/C recharge, but has been converted to r134. Car has 80k miles, and the dude's dad was the original owner. This guy is a gearhead, has a beautiful old 68 trans am. The shocks and struts are new, and it has brand new tires.

It's been taken care of. It's been driven, but well maintained. Interior (mostly the seats) are my only big concern.

No rust, etc. Pulls like a freight train. I don't care if it's a crossfire. LOL

And, unlike the f-bodies i've been looking at, it hasn't been abused and neglected.

If you put your hand over the back of the car,it looks like a 300ZX from the windshield forward, even the rims. Just noticed it because I had like 5 of the Z31's.

Cool car.Wasn't that the same style as the Sledgehammer?

ALL MY HEROES ARE RUSSIAN...GO CAPS!

Well you see, Norm, it’s like this…A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.-Cliff Claven

yeah, the wood is pretty awful. It's an aftermarket addition, the original black plastic is underneath. It's gonna come out. Not sure if i'll stick with the black or do something else with it.

Wrong. Magnum had a Ferrari 308!

What he needs to do is paint a big red stripe around the lower beltline, start wearing a 2-piece suit, and offer his services as a gigolo mercenary.

Congrats on the car. One of my favorite Vette bodies. Interior - classic GM 80's yuck! Boat house steering wheel? Big clunky dash.
Oh, and who the hell thought it would be a good idea to add "stick on" fake wood trim in a sports car?

You should be able to get the seats reskinned for <$500 bucks. The rest of interior looks like it needs a good $100 detail job and you'll be

And since the body is mostly fiberglass you'll have little to no rust issues.

That's face.

Vettes are baller. No matter what year, what model. There are ones I like more than others... certain years that I'd sell a kidney for... but they're all beautiful.

You don't remember A-Team? Face was the only team member to have his own ride. Everyone else had to ride in B.A.'s van (probably what everyone remembers because it's iconic), but Face usually followed behind in his Vette.
