I think you should seriously consider getting a used MacBook. I think there's one for sale in like new condition in the classifieds section at a reasonable price.

Bought my macbook pro almost two years ago, right after the most recent update at the time. They're def. expensive but it has hands down been the best laptop (or even computer) i've ever owned. Worth every penny. They're fast and simply work. You won't be dissapointed. And contrary to popular belief they're not hard at all to learn to use. Very user friendly.

Good Luck!

I LOVE MY MAC(s)

I will never own a PC ever again. I hate the fact that I am forced to use one at work to run quickbooks. Everything else is done on my MacBook.

I have a Dell laptop and can't stand the fact that you can only get stuff directly through them and not at any store. It gets very frustrating. My battery went and it took 3 days to get.

Never had any problems with my Dell laptop, except for the occasional freezing up when I try to load a bunch of programs at the same time.

Mac laptops can detect earthquakes.

ALL MY HEROES ARE RUSSIAN...GO CAPS!

Well you see, Norm, its like thisA herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.-Cliff Claven

I've always had PCs and i just switched over and got a new mac about a month ago. I LOVE IT! For my needs (email, uploading pictures, maintaining a personal website, music downloads ect) it's absolutely perfect. Didn't take long to figure out...although i'm still learning. I would HIGHLY recommend it
