Ive read great reviews so far.

Inglourious Bastards is out on the 21st: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sQhTVz5IjQ

Also, its been out for a while now, but if you are looking for a really good movie to rent, check out What Doesnt Kill You (Its based on Director Brian Goodman's life in South Boston. Mark Ruffalo, Amanda Peet, and Ethan Hawke are stellar): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDzEH6HlW3o

D9 rocks.....makes you think....best recent sci fi film since the first Matrix.

If you like that genre of film, definitely worth seeing.

6 out of 10? Not sure what that means. Maybe a comparable movie...like what would Matrix 1 get from you?

For me - I would give the first Matrix a 9 out of 10, mainly for massive creativity and plot and special effects balance....D9 8 out of 10 and growing. When it ends you are kind of like WTF....but the more I think about the movie the better it gets.

Like I said, kind of a thinker type movie ... really good violence, plausible sci fi premises (maybe a little more plausible than Matrix, tough call). annoying they adopted the bourne identity handy cam thing.

If you u liked movies like Outland or Alien it is in that vein. If you think Transformers is sci fi you will probably hate it.

I am sure D9 will get a sequel....

inglorious bastards looks cool but i read is longer then 3 hours? idk for sure but thats a put off

The Hurt Locker was a really really good movie i thought. I havent seen any advertising for, I dont think it got a wide release, but I saw it at the fair city mall theatre in fairfax a few weeks back and was impressed. Its about 3 soldiers (none of the actors are big names, maybe y it didnt get a wide release?) in Iraq whose job is to defuse IED's. Well acted, great directing. Recommend

My biggest concern for this movie is Quentin Tarantino.

Saw District 9

SPOILER!!!!!!!!!

Longgggggggg start.

Ending tell's you that there will be a part 2

First movie I've seen where the aliens are the good guys.

ALL MY HEROES ARE RUSSIAN...GO CAPS!

Well you see, Norm, it’s like this…A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.-Cliff Claven
