New Toy - April 14, 2007, 12:43 PM

Had to bite the bullet and get one of the overstocked 2004 Aquatrax R12x. Too good of a deal to turn down, plus the wifey always wanted one and figured it would make a nice birthday present for her (Happy Birthday Baby!). Now maybe she'll let me get the Repsol!
Any one else ride personal watercrafts? Any place close to ride them? There are a couple lakes around my home town of Petersburg, WV (Mt. Storm and Randolph Jennings) but was wondering if there is someplace like within an hour drive of Summit Point.

Welcome home!

Starting her off young!

Can't leave out my other baby!

Got a Yamaha 3 seater, don't remember the model name, but it puts out like 160 horsepower. The thing is bad ass! Use it in Colonial Beach VA, hugh area to play in.

My bike run's on snake oil.... thanks to BG.

I'm looking for spots that are close by. As of now I only have three places in mind...Mt. Storm Lake (close to Petersburg, WV when I go to visit the folks) Jennings Randolph lake in Elk Garden, WV (close to Petersburg) and Deep Creek Lake in Oakland MD. Will prob take it to Ocean City and/or Virginia Beach...we go there a few times a year.

If you feel like taking an hour drive:
http://www.dcr.virginia.gov/state_parks/lee.shtml
You can launch it off the docks and then pull up to shore at the picnic area.

It's right on the Potomac. There are plenty of bay like Belmount bay you can play in.
A few crab houses right off shore, many spots to sit and relax and hang with other folks.

DC is ony 30 minutes away by waterway.

They made too many for 2004...there are several Honda dealers that still have them, I think Shenandoah Honda had three left when I put a hold on mine weekend before last and one left when I went to pick it up on Saturday. MSRP $9,999...OTD price $6,199 (dealer's cost)
