Hi all, I've been busy with a worthless car project so I haven't been around much lately. That'll change once the weather turns better though! Anyway, I bailed out of the money pit car project and am going to dump it off. Here's what I bought instead:

Well, this is the Mazdaspeed version, but mine is stock. RX-8 rocks baby!

Dude that's awesome.

I heard someone walking one down the road a few weeks ago and those things sound sweet at full boil.

My neighbor across the street bought one. He was gonna get the 350z, but since i got one, he changed his mind and didnt want two Z's in the neighborhood.

Once he gets past the break in, and it gets warm out, we are swapping cars for the test drive.

Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!

Kudos on the car man. it is schweeeeet!!

I would love to get a new bike, but you don't understand . . . I needed this car!!

I found out that this thing is absolutely horrible in the snow yesterday when I almost spun out many times driving home - this even with traction control. And this was just when the snow started! The stock tires are optimum for wet/dry only.

What kind did your neighbor get? Mine is Sunlight Silver like the one above, 6 spd MT, and with the Grand Touring package.

I'd be game for a swap test drive of the Z and 8 too. Let me know when you guys do it - maybe we can get some other schweet cars out there (M3 anyone?).

Actually he got the SAME car you did. Same color, and same package. Played with the NAV a bit when i sat in his car.. It seemed a little confusing at first, but figured it out..

Haha.. i doubt many peeps wanna hand over there cars, but go ahead and try..

If he bails on what he said about swappin cars for a test drive, ill shoot ya a pm to set it up.

The car should be broken in properly by the owner first..

My gas pedal only knows two positions.. off... and all the way floored!

have fun and good luck..

OK, let me know . . . even if he doesn't bail we can make it two 8's and a Z!

I wasn't talking about a free-for-all open invite to thrash some cars around. Just between whomever brings an appropriate machine for some head-to-head comparison of each car's relative merits. I agree that the car should be properly broken in by the owner. It would be a blast on a nice sunny day!
