I was in your same boat, so I decided to get the ifon, wanted to see what this hoopla was all about. My third smart phone will be my informed decision having had both the droid and apple os.

The new one is a RAZR in name only.

It's another bloatware ridden android phone from the maker of the most bloated, crashprone android phones on the market

I with this right here. Motorola don't want anyone to crack there boot sector so they like to add extra measures to root. I am holding strong with my Galaxy S2 from Sprint. Super fast, easy as pie to root, reception has been good, and the battery is just stupid good. Took it off the charger this morning at 6:30 and Its 10:20 now and I am at 98% and that is with some texts and all that good stuff. I work in facility so phone not allowed but on the weekend I have still witnessed the best battery life out of any smartphone period.

Bitter, party of 1, your table is ready.

Another plus with the Razr, streaming Netflix HD.

inb4 a bunch of idiots buy another phone crammed with useless "features" then whine about crashes and battery life.

Seriously dude. HD netflix on a phone is a huge plus now?

What's the resolution of that tiny ass display? Is regular definition netflix just no good for a phone anymore?

Battery is said to have 12 hours of talk time, estimated 8 hours of playing video. Sounds pretty good to me. Better than anything else on the market. 1 thing that does concern me about the battery though, it's not removable. I'd like to see how they're going to handle that.

Razr resolution is qHD = 960x540, but the Super AMOLED display is brighter, provides richer colors and less blur. The Prime has a 1280x720 resolution.

I love Netflix, so yeah, it's nice for me. May not be a deal breaker or decision maker for someone else, though. Not saying it is for me either....but it's a nice to have.

So, with the size of the screen and its resolution, what's the point of HD netflix? Especially since you'll likely have bandwidth issues streaming HD video unless on wifi

The 12 hour talk time claims are a bit dubious I think. The Droid X fell far short of their claims as well.

I don't trust motorola anymore to make a device that isn't crippled by bullshit
