Nissan Owners - lawsuit filed - January 14, 2013, 07:43 PM

Today we received a notice of class action lawsuit for owners of 2005 - 2010 Nissan xTerra, Pathfinder, and Frontier owners. I know some of you here have owned these vehicles, wondering if you have received the notice as well.

Lawsuit is related to faulty radiator and leaking of coolant and automatic transmission fluid. The action is to extend warranties of the vehicles and/or pay for repairs by Nissan.

When I find a digital copy of the info will post up.

Yeah, I got it too. I have an 05 Pathfinder, but thanks to John here on the boards my truck has well over 200k miles so I don't qualify. I will however definitely be buying another Nissan when this one finally bites the dust. At this rate though, I think I will be putting that off for a very long time. Best vehicle I have ever owned.

Yeap got mines for my 2005 Nissan Frontier.....
not sure if i qualify or not.

truck is 8 years old, but I only put 63,000 miles on it.
I also will be getting a new one when they make one...maybe like 2016 or so....
One of the best vehicles I've owned.

Although I love the Honda Ridgeline.....
My chick and my boy have one and it is more functional than my Nissan.

We had a 2005 xTerra which would fall under this. The radiator failed and leaked. Nissan eventually repaired the vehicle under warranty and IMO took care of us pretty well. Ended up trading it in on a 2007 Pathfinder which has been great and no issues, so far. I would still purchase another Nissan.

Funny in reading the lawsuit is you have the ability to opt out and/or complain about the lawsuit. I have never read a file like this, so maybe its generic legal jargon.

What kind of mileage do they get? I was thinking about one of those but then I talked to some folks that had them and they said they were getting like 16mpg. At that point, why not just take the 2mpg hit and get a full size crew cab, especially if you don't drive that much.

Yeah they get crappy MPG...

15c/21hwy

They weigh like a million pounds. Towing is 5000lbs.
I mainly like the All wheel drive system.

Hell no, I love my Nissan. Plus, stupid Honda doesn't make a truck. That Avalanche thing doesn't count.

I have a 2010 Frontier. No big problems yet, but gas mileage is pretty bad. I'm lucky to get 18mpg highway, low teens around town.

4x4, long bed, crew cab, auto. I wanted a manual, but there were none available anywhere. Would have needed to special order it, and fuck that.

Fuck autos. They need to make more sticks.

I actually have to agree with this statement. Honda doesn't really make a truck but the Ridgeline works for most people's needs. My personal vehicle is a 2012 F-150 but considering how I use it, the Ridgeline probably would have been a better choice.

Like I said, I looked at them and yeah, it's marginally more economical and would most likely do anything I would ask of it, but for the same price I could get a nice full size crew cab and so the real tradeoff to me was, does the improved gas mileage justify less room, less features, and less power? To me, nope.

I also found that it was hard to get a deal on a Honda. Maybe it's just the fact that there are so many trucks out there, but I had better luck finding an idiot who didn't know what they were selling in the truck market, which ultimately made the improved gas mileage a mute point because of the savings I was able to realize in the purchase price.

I have a Titan, and I wish there was some action taken on the pretty much guaranteed to crack exhaust manifolds they put on them.
