Its nice to know congress has solved all the major problems in our country, and they can now focus on this stuff.

Even worse, from what I gathered by scanning the article, this is a new rule the regulator (DoL) is considering implementing. They don't plan on going to congress for authorization.

Ah, even fucking better.

I love that non-elected shitheads can just invent regulations.

Nation of fucktards running this place.

I grew up helping my grandfather on the farm. It was just what you did, they didn't even have to ask. I loved riding on the tractor, driving it, helping with chores, feeding the animals, fixing fences, bush hogging the fields and cemetery. I don't think I would have been so close to him if I wasn't able to be under his feet 24/7.

Had a huge grave marker fall on top of me when I was with him. Luckily it hit another stone and didn't crush me.
Sure, it's dangerous. Grown men get killed by tractors but it is something this country couldn't survive without and neither can the farmers.

I remember stories in Maryland when I was taking my hunting course how they use to take their rifles to school with them on the bus and then go hunt afterwards. This country has changed so much and a lot of it isn't for the better.

Just one more reason why kids are growing up they way they are now.
Just stupid!

Why on earth would we work to develop our youth by providing them with practical skill sets and instilling proper work ethics when there are thousands of illegal migrant worker out there willing to take care of things? Our children need to focus on other things like video games, drinking, doing drugs, and getting pregnant.

It does say children working on their own family farms are exempt. But... this is again an example of government bureaucracy stepping in where they have no business.

Seriously, the US govt and congress are the biggest worthless pieces of mandating shit. They are totally clueless to the average persons situation.

I'll spare you the political rant... but I am as outraged as the OP.

You can write your Congressional Critter very easily. Tell your Congressional Critter how unhappy you are with them.

Google the string.... "Who is my Representative"

One of the results will be this....

https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml

Write your ass-hat Representative and tell them how unhappy you are w/ the H of R and them, etc. Mention your issues and what you think is important.

And after you have done that.... write to your worthless P.O.S. Senator and tell him/her why you are unhappy that he/she is a worthless piece of shit...

Google string... "Who is my Senator"

U.S. Senate: Senators Home

Please take the time to tell these people how unhappy you are with them.

And when the election comes around Do Not vote for an incumbent. We will be better in the end if you pick via the eany-meany-miney-mo stategy.... as long as you exclude the incumbents.

By reelecting incumbents you will get the same under-performing POS back in congress. And you got nobody to complain to because you re-elected that incumbent.

Barbara Mikulski & Ben Cardin, & Donna Edwards (in MD) are the most worthless wastes of tax payer dollars in MD. Do your part to defeat them all and bring some sanity to MD.

The fact that you wrote is good. When dealing w/ the public its best to maintain your calm and address the ass-hats that represent you w/ respect (no matter how much they are deplored- BTW I deplore them more than you).

But the fact that ANYONE would take the time to write a 1.5 minute email is HUGE in how our reps view the cattle they corral & preside over.

It was more an experiment than anything else... last time i wrote them they sent me the WRONG form letter.... like, different topic completely.

i wanted to see if he was listening.

After i called him an asshat, i got a form letter again.

Even though family farms can use their kids, there are still plenty of chores and work to do that they need help with.

I grew up in PG county, i didnt know any "cowboys" or people who "farmed" until i moved to oklahoma for awhile. That is when i learned about bailing hay,This ended up being a good source of side income ,but it was something alot of farmers would task out to other people so they could focus on everything else. We would have 14-16 y/o kids helping ,sometimes younger, and i saw nothing wrong with.

I worked @ 10y/o with my dad doing construction/punch outs/drywall and sheetrock, cutting tile, laying tile... i saw nothing wrong with it and ultimately gave me an awesome work ethic and the importance of keeping a job etc you know normal life skills. 14 i held my first TAX paying job as a life gaurd and haven't stopped working since, well except now but i got a couple more interviews next week.

Not reading the article because I'll probably get mad, but I grew up working on a farm in the summers. Cows, hogs, corn, beans, chickens, etc. Piss of the farmers, reap the benefits. Good job America.
