No sound on .mkv files - January 3, 2010, 06:20 PM

Anyone know how I can get sound from a .mkv file. I'm trying to watch the Paris Dakar 2009

you either need the codec, or if you download vuse (p2p downloader)for free, and drag the file into it, it has its own player that with play mkv's. I used this to download and play MKV files.

and the cool thing about vuse, if you have xbox, ps3, or tivo, you can drag the file into the "devices" and can watch it wirelessly on your tv. or convert it to the iphone or ipod via itunes
