North Korea fires rocket through Japan's airspace - April 5, 2009, 05:41 AM

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090405/...nkorea_missile

Interesting excerpt: "The satellite is transmitting the melodies of the immortal revolutionary paeans 'Song of Gen. Kim Il Sung' and 'Song of Gen. Kim Jong Il' as well as measurement data back to Earth," it said, referring to the country's late founder and his son, its current leader.

The Japanese are not going to put up with this crap for very long, I can tell you that.

How much do you know about the North Korean Government? Do you know that they consider the Kims (father and son) to be deities? I read somewhere that Jong Il calls himself the "sun god" or something like that. These people are frickin' insane. INSANE!!!

Admittedly, I don't know much about North Korea other than what the news reports. As soon as the international community ramps up talk about another country other than North Korea, they seem to do something to get the spotlight back on them. That government works on the little kid approach. Jump up and down and scream til someone looks your way.

The biggest problem I have with North Korea is that while their government is rushing hell-for-leather to be the next big international pain in the ass, they're starving their people.

You're right when you say Japan won't put up with this shit much longer. And they shouldn't.

Same thing is gonna happen like every world event. NATO is spineless and weak so they will look to the USA to be the bad guy and do something. Question is will the USA do anything?

I'm pretty sure the same is true for North Koreans.

My dad is still angry about July '54. He isn't much happier about it now. I hope Japan pulls up their britches and gives them a molly whop. I'm sick of the USA being the bad guy.

Japan is militarily hamstrung because of the stunt they pulled in the 1930's and '40's. They only have a defense force at present. However, the US cannot afford to neglect Japan's domestic security so they'll eventually take their chances with European opinions and probably do something. The spirit of the late General Douglass MacArthur is now definitely able to say, "I told you so."
