man I stayed trying to do that shit as a kid....never had enough strength to pull it down though....in hindsight it would have been pretty shitty b/c I'm sure it would have been expensive to replace on behalf of the school....but AT ONE POINT IT WAS A COOL THING TO DO ....

Man it's crazy how the And 1 Mixtapes changed how kids play and practice today. When I was coming up, my uncle and grandfather made me take layups and free throws all the time, work on handling the ball, passes and all the fundamentals of bball. Now, you walk in the gym and kids are shooting 3-pointers with F'd up form and trying to dunk....and won't listen to anybody but their friends who can't layup but can fail at dunks!!!

^ yeah AND 1 definitely changed the way the game was played. There has always been "street" ball but it was still played at a fundamental basis of how "team" ball was played.

Then when AND 1 started sponsoring teams it became a reality for some that if you didn't GO PRO you had AND 1 to fall back on...then it became some JUST wanted to play And 1.

lol....I blame Hip hop...everybody else does...lolz

There is nothing Epic about anything in this thread. Other than the fact the Epic has become epically overused.
