Although it may be a little funny looking I've heard nothing but good things about the Subaru.

So I say go for the wrx. I am not so certain about the gold plated wheels though

I drive by both models everyday on my way thru Manassas. I like the body style of the Sti the most, thats what I voted for. Manassas Subura used to have a white one, havnt seen it in a few days though. The Mitsubishi dealer right next door has a blue, yellow I think and a Silver Evo. The rear wings on both are too big in my opinion. Both are very fast though. The bronze wheels on the white Sti look really good.

I had an STI on order last summer. I loved everything under the hood of the STI, but was kinda "eh" about the look.

Boils down to a 4 door sedan with a "bookshelf" wing on the back.

Then Grandmaster B hooked me up with a 350Z at sterling nissan.
Close to the same power, crazy acceleration, and the looks are above and beyond. Still get people poinint at the car on the road.

Classy. Had the STI looked better, i would have been all over it.

Brooks mentioned tranny issues. I suggest going to the imprezza board and the EVO board and read up on issues with those cars.

All three cars 350Z, STI, and EVO are having first year model issues. Do your homework by looking on those message boards to see what folks are having problems with. Figure out what you want to deal with. 30K is a fair amount to drop on a car.

You see why i made my decision. Make your decision on what YOU want. Not what others think.

Just my $.02. Carry on and enjoy either car. they both are bad ass machines...

Again i reiterate that what is under the hood of those cars is AMAZING. Just not feelin the outside looks. Choose what YOU want..

Good luck!

I vote for this one:

But if you absolutely have to have one of those, I guess I'd have to say that the Subaru is the lesser of two evils, so go with that.

I think the question to ask would be to find people who have driven all these cars. We can assume since Alex owns a 350 that he can give you a reasonably accurate description of it.

I have drive both the EVO and the STi. Both are pretty damn quick and a blast to drive. Would I personally have one as a daily driver.....NO. If you are in the price range find yourself a used RS4. One of the best sleepers goin..........twin turbo 400hp, and you will not see 10 of them pimpin at the Sheetz!!!!

The Evo looks hot in person, but the sub would kick the snot out of an evo, unless you buy some upgrades for it, which are more available in the aftermarket.

I would say the WRX. It performs a little better and is made better. Neither one is exactly a great looking car. I have owned 2 Mitsubishis and both felt cheap. My Turbo all wheel drive eclipse was a blast to drive. At 60k it started having issues and from what I have heard from other eclipse owners they had similar issues. A friend of mine has had a WRX for 2 years and loves it. I don't like the looks of either and if I had 30k to blow I would think about getting a used M3 or the new 350. But to each his own.
