I have an older Dienese one that I like to wear when it's über hot. Never tested it knock on wood but just the back and chest paddings along with the forearms make me feels safe.

Go for it.

I have one that I wear underneath my leathers because I like the armor on the fox stuff more than the armor in my leathers.

Armor is meant for impact protection... those straps holding it on will abrade through pretty quickly on pavement.

For around town slow rides? Sure, it's definitely much better than just a t-shirt.

For anything else? Stick to leather.

This. Get a perforated leather jacket or a textile in a light color with good airflow

When I ride in it I wear the long sleeve heat gear from Under Armour as I do with my leathers. Keeps me nice and cool.

Built for dirt and much slower speeds.

It won't last any longer than a pair of jeans on the asphalt.

The titan stuff is hot. I tried wearing it for.one round at taskers last year and that was it. Great impact protection though. I kept using it for Allsports.

The idea of wearing pressure suits isn't new, was pretty popular around the Exxon station in the late 90's. It died out quickly when people realized these things wouldn't hold up to skidding on pavement.

You're better off with textile.

I went down in a textile jacket once... and wasn't even one of the mesh ones thankfully.

Still, it didn't hold up very well. Protected me against rash, but wasn't re-wearable. Goes back to the above statement- for around town, it's fine. For quick rides? Leather.
