Gas isn't $5 a gallon anymore so my bottom line is better. Night job has been picking up steadily...I'm good to go.

Bush? Because the recovery/bailout package was created and passed under Bush.

Obama's admin had to come in and try to patch up all the loopholes and bonus fuckery that the companies were exploiting.

Any effect the stimulus will have will take many years to truly show for the average citizen, much like policy effects rarely happen wile the president who shaped them is still in office.

worse off, the construction industry hasnt seen much of that money at all for infrastructure improvements, and it isn't creating the kind of jobs it was expected to. Recent engineering grads like me are shit outta luck as far as finding jobs in this area. A big part of the reason I studied civil engineering was job security, but that was 5 years ago.

Every year for the last 10 years or so ive been better off, but i dont know if it have anything to do with the gov. I was just looking at my pay stub (my gig deducted 8 hours by accident 3 months ago) The amount i pay in taxes is F**king crazy...shit gets harder and harder. Its like a crime to be single and male with no kids. Close to 2 grand in taxes per pay is insane. The Gov should send us bath house vouchers every two weeks for a message with a happy ending as a way of saying "thank you" for keeping america growing and strong.

no seriously...
happy endings....it will make the ass rape much ezier to accept.

Oh I agree. One of my college buddies who works up in Manhattan in finance for one of the budge bracket firms was telling me how disappointed he was that his bonus was going to be less than what it was last year considering he puts in 60 hr + weeks sometimes and how expensive it is to live in West New York, with his kids private school, car payments, house, and activities and such.

I looked at him like he had 5 heads. He's done some / said some pretty dumb shit in his life - but that one statement was like a punch in the nuts.

I said, "Are you shitting me XXX - your bonus last year was $2XX,XXX, your firm took government funds and you're disappointed! Try emptying your IRA/401K like a lot of people are just to make ends meet. Tighten your belt and suck it up."

Ain't that the truth. Single, male, no kids = tax rape.

They should at least give us brothers a break as part of a reparations package. My forefathers already paid my taxes.

C'mon Obama - pass reparations dude.

You need to go where the big civil engineering projects are happening right now then. Mexico, Asia, Central America.

I can tell you there's going to be a LARGE demand for civil engineers in Haiti. Have you looked at that avenue yet?
