WPGC In Shutdown Mode

Sometimes negotiations break down. It happens in politics – and unfortunately, it happens in radio. As of Friday afternoon – the headphones are off, the mic is silent – WPGC is officially in ‘shutdown mode.’

This has never happened in the DC area before. Due to unforseen circumstances beyond our control, we’ve sent all of our DJ’s home.

Please help us stay on the air this weekend. Call 877-955-JAMS.

For us military we have already seen the effect. Our typical mid-month pay is only half the normal amount that we would usually receive. While those of us in the States suffer from this, I find it even more distasteful to know that my fellow soldiers over in the sandbox are being asked to continue to put their life on the line in light of the fact that they will not have the full support (administratively or operationally or contractually) of their government. Our Nation supports us but it appears our government doesn't..... rant over.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness.
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Agreed. I say the soldiers overseas just chill until this is resolved.

Nobody even remotely cares whether WPGC lives or dies.
