It's been a while since I was there so I tend to hit the places I used to go to while at undergrad...

Bars:
G-man (Gingerbreadman) for happy hour on friday night. Not sure if they still do it, but used to be 2 for 1 drinks.

Rathskellar to say you went to one of the oldest bars there.

Zenos has an awesome beer selection, again, old school interior.

There are a couple newer places that people could probably mention for more of the hook up/live band scene.

Restaurants:
The Diner (open 24/7. Good place late night. The Grilled Sticky is a PSU tradition).

The Tavern is another classic. Go into the bar and have an Original Sin (they only allow you two of them). Then go eat in the restaurant. You get unlimited sides with your meal. Unlimited sides...Spaghetti, potatoes, veggies, etc, etc.

The Creamery on campus for ice cream (if you're already not freezing your ass off). Peachy Paterno is the signature, but any flavor is great.

Waffle Shop for breakfast.

Misc:
Go take your picture by the Lion Shrine before you take off.

Have fun. Basketball games are a great way to see the town without the insanity and long lines of a football weekend.

Who's ready to see them get dominated by LSU on new year's day?

Good I hope so! There's a big ass LSU fan here in my office and I know I'll never hear the end of it if we lose.
