Photoshop help - August 2, 2009, 11:37 AM

Is anybody good with photoshop that can cut me an outline of this pic, just the fighters. It has to be a smooth outline so i can upload it on the label machine and cut it with no jagged edges. Thanks in advance!

p.s. - you're gonna wanna use a png file, or other type that doesn't have a background (i'm guessing)

How did you (quickly) smooth out the selection?

Easy 'nuff to trace it.. and possibly to feather it out then erase it with a soft brush.

but hot damn, yours is super smooth!

*sigh*

Pretty easy man. Just quickly grabbed it with magic wand in Photoshop, colored it all one color, copy & paste into new PS document with transparent background, "save for web", save as png with transparency on.

Open Illustrator, and place the png file. Then I just traced it as black and white, but messed with the threshold, corner curve, and some pixel settings till I liked what I saw (also ignore white). Saved again for web as png, bada bing, bada boom!

The trick though is to use Illustrator for final touches. Vector based graphics FTW. Let me know if you ever need help with stuff!

I know this is a little late, but i almost completely forgot about this, haha.

Anyway, i tried to save the image, and when i upload it to the composer, it shows just a black box. Idk what gives. Did it in .png file too.

Btw i'm using Gerber, if that helps any.
