Amazing that he gets 2 years for shooting himself and others get 30 days for vehicular manslaughter.

Yea its a bit harsh, but thats the law in NY. Just like DC use to have some insane gun laws (wasnt it 10 years per bullet?)

He will probably serve a commuted sentance, get out in 16 months, then end up playing for Oakland, or Detroit or some one crappy for the last year or so of his career.

So I am guessing that you thought the previously recorded speeding fines and punishments of this state were fine seeing as the were the laws of this state. You probably wouldn't bitch if you got pulled over for speeding and got locked up??

Forget the fact that the NY's laws on this subject are in direct conflict with the Constitution in some cases.

Seeing as how my home of record is Texas, I can bitch about the laws of this state all I want because of the simple fact that I'm not responsible for local elections..

With that being said, I pay my tickets and rarely speed on the street anymore..

If the laws are in direct conflict with the consitution, write your representative.

Bitch all you want...you will get locked up the same.

Where is Adrian when I need him.

If you don't speed, you aren't keeping up with traffic around here.

I am not a NY resident so I can bitch all I want. The Constitutionality of their laws regarding guns are currently being challenged as we speak.

I say lock him the fuck up. Rather you like the laws or don't doesnt mater he did the crime now he has to pay. maybe he needed a better lawyer to fight and prove that the law is unconstitutional.

He got 2 years because he was a dumbass. He knew not to carry in NY and still did it. I don't go carrying in DC asking for trouble just to show the gov't my defiance... If you don't like the laws of the state then stay out of it or run for office

Talk about adding insult to injury. 2 years for a possession charge? That's just silly. Would have expected probation at the most.
