A plumbers apprentice is just as bad - May 8, 2010, 03:13 PM

Oh the horror. Work with a guy for ten years teaching him the trade and he snaps and kills you. Plumbers are awful people.

Update: Plumber killed by employee

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Wesley Patrick always loved hearing his dad's voice in the morning; waking him up to go to breakfast, but Sunday morning there was only silence. "There was nothing that day and it kills me because I didn't hear his voice. I didn't hear anything."

59-year old Dwight Patrick, a father of three boys, was murdered in one of his plumbing vans Saturday afternoon near S.W. 84th and McKinley.

Police say Noel Fuentes is the suspect. He is a man, Wesley says, worked for his dad for more than 10 years. He says his father helped Fuentes afford living expenses in his Southwest Oklahoma City rental house.

Wesley Patrick says, "A lot of different things that he did for this guy and it's just not right for him to do something like this to my father after everything he's done."

A police affidavit quotes another of Patrick's employees saying that while giving Fuentes a ride home from work on Friday, Fuentes made a statement related to the victim stealing his money which would cause Fuentes to "do something crazy."

Westley says the two men argued over how much Fuentes should be paid.

Dwight Patrick's stepson, Kelly Ross, takes a picture of a makeshift memorial, which displays Dwight's old work shirt and OU pride.

He saw the two men just minutes before the murder and wonders how anyone could be accused of killing a man who cared for them like one of his own sons.

Ross says, "I don't know why someone would bite the hand that feeds you."
