This is a good question. I am a huge supporter of MS (not a blind supporter.) they have made me truck loads of cash over the years. So I have to give them consideration. I like my currant XBOX, but I am not married to it.

Yeah I am old enough to know better. Thing is, I just don't care.

For the record, I have no dog in this fight. The last game system I purchased was an PS2 ... used ... in 2000, and the last game I beat was Zone of Enders 2 or Metal Gear: Snake Eater.

I think that goes to show you how much I am into gaming. :lol

Not an option in the poll, but BOTH.

Many people over time will have both. This not like iOS vs. Android where people have chosen "a side". Both can and will co-exist together.

I can't even remember the last time I've had a solo current (at that time) gen console.

I've always like everything about my PS3 better than my XBOX360 except for two things: the controller and the ease of navigating multiplayer.

Probably both (for the exclusives). I'm not a fan of Xbox's gestapo-like policies of always-on kinect and no used games. PS4 first likely.

Well fuck I thought a poll could show who chose what answer

I've been reading that xbox requires internet verification every 24 hours. That's some bullshit. I'm sick of them pushing EVERYTHING into the cloud and forcing constant logins

however the xbox media center is very well put together

I really want the XBOX to ditch the features everyone is ranting about. I am not PS fan anymore.

another question for xbox: How does my brother borrow a game?

Right now I can just give him the disc for 2 weeks. Sure I can't play it. That's fine

Under the new system, he'll have to sign into my account. This means you gotta be there for someone to borrow it. I hope I can "let" him play my game while I'm signed into my own account playing something else. But I don't see this working. It would mean you can infinitely share games cause all your shit is in the cloud

There will be a family system on LIVE. I believe 10 people will be able to be a part of the family and will be able to borrow any of your games. They must be in your family list for 30 days before being able to use the family privledges. The 30 day rule is to prevent obvious abuse.

I'm pretty sure, but not 100%, that anyone in your family will be able to download the games you have from your cloud.

The Xbox marketing team sucks, and should all be fired for this publicity fiasco, after all its the publishers pushing the crazy rules for used games, not Sony or Microsoft. Sony has already stated they are leaving the used game policy up to the publishers, so dont be surprised when you arent allowed to buy/sell used games from companys like EA.

The multiplayer experience is considerably better on LIVE, and I dont expect the PS4 network to be on par over night. Sony hasnt had any exclusives that make me want one (except Last of Us, which has terrible release timing). I primarily play CoD, which LIVE is better for, so i will most likely stick with the 360. Forza, Halo, Ryse, Titanfall and a couple other exclusives are just icing on the cake.

^ Ahhhh ok. That's good, my brother actually borrows games from me every once in a while.

I don't like publishers having control over used games. EA already enforced the $10 "multiplayer code" which "Comes FREE when you buy the game!!". Totally screws the consumer out of their used game value

I'm leaning toward xbox for sure. Maybe I'll get both and see which I like more

This, although Microsoft is basically saying it upfront that they want to control the used/borrow market, it's not a new concept and I'm sure many will be doing this style of gaming on the PS4 as well.

I've owned most major systems over the past decade or so EXCEPT the PS3, wish I had the time to play more I'd definitely have bought it, but barely play the 360 enough as is. PS2 > Xbox; 360 > PS3 I'd love to support Sony because the PSX and PS2 were probably the best machines I've had. But right now it's not really even on my Radar, I won't get any next gen system until February/March '14 probably.

I believe this to be the exact opposite of truth. I for one dont know anyone who owns both... Or anyone whos a fan of both. Sure they can coexist ... Isnt Android and iPhone? Truth is majority of ppl have one or the other. In any case where a person has both id assume it would be for games specific to a certain console (i.e. HALO ) and id bet one of those sytems collects a ton off dust compared to the other.
I have had every Playstation made... Owned 2 Xbox 360's and sold them immediately ( didnt pay for either ). I just never liked the controller or idea of paying to play online.
But seeing as how my 1st Gen PS3 died 2 days ago and it doesnt make sense to buy a 2nd Gen when PS4 is around the corner... Anyone here fixes PS3?
