possible stolen car - May 4, 2009, 06:57 PM

I know there are a number of police officers on here so thought I might throw this out here. There's been a car in my neighborhood since Saturday. No one I've talked to recognizes it, and the car has been vandalized/damaged. We think it might be stolen and just left there. Figured someone here might be able to run the plate and see if it that's the case. If you're a cop, PM me and I'll get you the plate #.

How about just call the police and tell them about it? Just a thought...

What's the ignition look like? Just call the Police and tell them you want to report a suspicious or abandoned car in the neighborhood.

Ok, so as far as I know, it was reported the other day and nothing's been done. I just figured maybe someone would want their missing car back if that's what happened ... hell - there are 2 cops that drive within 50 feet of it to get to their houses, guess it's just not important.

set it on fire. if it was stolen then you'll have nothing to worry about and the owner will get a nice check (assuming they have insurance).

Sounds like it. Seen it before in Baltimore...go to the passenger window and look at the ignition. If its broken or theres an errant screwdriver lying around, your were right. What sucks is how its been vandalized...kinda like broken windows theory. A house with broken windows will attract crime because all the scumbags will see it as the police and community don't care in that paticular area. Next thing you know a hobo will be squatting in the car!

taking a shit this is happening in MD at car dealerships when ppl take their car into to get serviced. The techs don't lock the cars at night and there is a random shitter on the loose man MD sucks ass.

the story of the one lady that couldn't figure out what it was, took it to the dealership, they couldn't get the stink out...so she took the car to the police and they told her it was human shit

You mean...http://www.metacafe.com/watch/yt--Y6..._impound_turd/

There is a car in a lot here downtown that has been sitting there for about a month now. Two flat tires, no plates, a busted out headlight, broken side view mirror...and no one seems to give a shit. The funny thing is, is that you have to pay 20 bucks to park in this lot. Its not like its tucked out of the way in some nondescript side street either. Plus, the way those guys run their ship, you would think they would notice an abandoned car taking up space in a heartbeat. It's not that far from their little booth either.

hahaha yeah I saw it on Fark. Serial pooper. Don't be mad Murrland is more hardcore than Virginyee. We got the Old Bay, don't make us cut off VA's supply.

Really though, an abandoned house/car whatever is nothing but a magnet for trashy people to cause trouble. Get that junk outta your neighborhood! Heck if the police won't do it call the 7 on your side or Fox 5 or something. Negative media attention gets things done real quick. Broken Windows theory Criminal justice majors know what its about.
