pumpkin patches within two hours of NOVA - October 6, 2011, 08:51 AM

My fiancee is off on Sunday so we want to take our 7 year old boy to a pumpkin patch. We've done Cox Farm, not really a fan of how crowded and expensive everything is. We also went to Temple Hills Farm last year and liked how laid back they were and the corn and pumpkin cannons were bad ass.

Anyone have any suggestions for other ones in the area?

I'm in Manassas and willing to go a couple hours for a good time (turkish is too far away).

The pumpkin fest or whatever they call it at Leesburg Animal Park is usually a blast. Not really a pumpkin patch per se but it does have a ton of games and a hay ride. I'll probably take my herd up there next weekend if the weather holds out.

Yea, we've been checking the local lists, but you can't really gauge what a place is like by their own description. The customer reviews are also hit or miss. Trying to get a feel for what people on here with kids have experienced.
