Rant On - Topic: YMCA - April 8, 2009, 12:07 PM

[rant]

So my wife's company has a deal through the local YMCA, $25/per person each month. They just payroll deduct it. Not a bad deal, I left my last gym for it primarily because of the pool. (Which, incidentally, I've never used)

A year and a half ago or so is when we joined there. Used it a bunch. Then one day last July I went to scan my card and instead of hearing "Beeepp", I hear "Errrrrrr" (my onomatopoeia skills aren't the best).

WTF? The girl tells me that our stuff is expired and that I can't workout. Strange, but whatever, shit happens.

I ask the wifey about it and she says that there was some renewal form in the mail that she forgot to fill out. Quicky forgotten by me, I never thought of it again. Until...

Early in November, said Wifey looks at a paystub and see the YMCA deduction. Ok, so I guess we can go workout. Gear in hand, Disturbed blaring in my ears, I head on in...."Errrrrrr". Ok, what the fuck?

And thus begins the saga. For the past, oh, 5 months or so, I've been trying to get some assitance from either the YMCA or my wife's company.

The issue: July-November (forget about the following months) = 5 months. 5 months x $50/per = $250. Where the FUCK is my money?

Her company's payroll department says, "We simply receive the bill and pay it to the YMCA."

The YMCA says, well, nothing really. Nobody will call me back, and when I go in nobody's ever there.

The one lady I talked to said, "Well what exactly are you looking for us to do?"

GIVE ME BACK MY FUCKING MONEY.

Grrrrrrrr....I've tried calling all day today. "Everybody's in a meeting" ALL DAY!?!?!

[/rant]

Thanks for listening.

Right up the 1 hole.

Woody, there's no need to feel down.
I said, Woody, pick yourself off the ground.
I said, Woody, 'cause you're in a new town
There's no need to be unhappy.
