Voters in Jefferson County, West Virginia, US, approved a referendum on table games on December 5.
Following the decision, Penn National Gaming announced that it is planning to install table games at its Charles Town Races and Slots property. The operator said that it hopes to have the tables ready for play by the third quarter of 2010 and that the addition of poker, blackjack, craps and roulette will create a further 500 new jobs.
Peter M Carlino, chairman and chief executive officer, said: "The voter approval of the table games referendum sets the stage for the next step in the evolution of Charles Town and will allow Penn National to further invest in the community by creating 500 new jobs and an important new tax base."

MD passed the joint for a casino in Laurel last night. They are moving on to working on the zoning and stuff etc etc etc. Said to look for it around Dec 2011 I believe...or 2010. Said it's going up near the Laurel Racetrack.
