Reasons I hate I-66 - August 21, 2009, 10:12 AM

I hate the fact they close 3 lanes down everynight at 10 to work on one lane.

I hate the fact there are cops all over that road that seem to miss the car doing 120 that passed you 3 mins before he pulls you over.

Traffic on Sunday morning? really?

The red X lane is always X'd out even if traffic is at a standstill.

The 800 cops that have people pulled over cause more traffic because people think the cop is going to jump in his car to chase you down.

Miss your exit. Don't worry you can just go to the next exit and sit in traffic going the other way.

2 lanes to 3 lanes to 4 lanes to 2 lanes? The civil engineers obviously have never seen a dam before.

What a convenience that Stringfellow Ave exit would be... If you could ever use it!!

I want to punch people on the train as I see the Metro train roll by and I am sitting behind an SUV with "Go Cougars (insert sport)" stickers all over the back.

Anymore patches, bumps and potholes on 66 and it could be considered offroading.

The only thing I hate more than I-66 is another Michael Vick/pitbull thread.

You forgot about all those special people, for whom the red X doesn't apply to.

I've seen that mofo everywhere.

don't forget the no merge area on-ramps and the fact that people have no idea what yield means.

Thank the douchebags that bought a house next to 66 inside the beltway for the fun that is HOV inside the beltway and only having two lanes. FU, you bought your house there. You should have known better. But no, the rest of the world has to suffer for your bad choice in housing. Awesome!

Its quiet simple really... The more traffic you have the more gas is wasted, the more cigarettes you smoke, the more wear and tear on your vehicle. You tend to eat/drink/chew gum more. The government on a local and federal level make more money on taxes, oil etc... Traffic stresses you out, you go to the psychiatrist about your road rage, get prescribed xanax. More money for the pharmeceutical companies. Its all a big conspiracy...
