Reckess Driving Ticket. Any Lawyers? - July 19, 2008, 09:26 AM

I got a reckless driving ticket for 75mph in a 55. Which is total BS, but there is nothing I can do about it except get a lawyer and hope for the best.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any inexpensive lawyers, or are one that could represent me?

Any help would be appreciated.

Please do not spam this thread. This is a very serious situation for me since my driving record is not the best, and I have a security clearance.

Reckless Driving is the same class misdemeanor as a DUI

There are like 50,000 threads on lawyers, even a "Lawyer Thread" Tanya started a long time ago for this very problem. I'd check there first. I think you're probably going to pay over $1000, unfortunately, my friend.

Here - Lawyer List

That thread is 2006, Ben. Times have changed.

I was hoping to get advice from someone with more recent experience, especially after all the new laws, revisions, etc.

I would still appreciate people's help. I do plan on talking to Mr. Kosa, but I would like more options from people with positive experiences. THanks Deep.

All the posts are from 2007 or beyond, lawyers don't move their practices.

Is this in Fairfax County? If so, Brandon Herold is still the man... he's not inexpensive, but i think the universal law of "you get what you pay for" applies... I'm sure he's in that lawyer thread.

Good Luck man

Well how exactly do you get out if you are guilty? What logic/excuse/plea bargain whatever, made the judge find you not guilty? And in the end what did it cost you?

I know an offender will pay one way or another with/without a lawyer. Just wondering how these things play out.

He is not cheap but is the best in Fairfax county. He is a former prosecuter for Fairfax and is currently a sub. judge.

I was doing 65/35 and he had me on radar. Lawyer got it dropped to 54/35 speeding. Had the speedo calibrated and I took the defensive driving course prior to going into court. Cost me $750 for the lawyer and a $250 fine. But it was a 4 points instead of a 6 point reckless.

You could try Alex Gordon in Fairfax... 703-218-8416. He does Fairfax, Loudoun, PW, Arlington, Alexandria.
