Thumbs down Reckless Driving in Loudoun County - July 12, 2012, 03:32 PM

So I've seen a few of these threads around but not very many for Loudoun so I figured I'd send this out and update it as my case progresses.

Circumstances
Reckless Driving - Speeding in excess of 20mph over the posted speed limit
Speed: 79 in a 45
Location: Algonkian Pkwy in Sterling passing Potomac Falls HS (cop was in the driveway)
Date: 12 JUL 2012
Record: Clean-Never pulled over in VA, no prior speeding tickets
Court Date: 21 AUG 2012

Action
Contacted Kosa So, mentioned a few names from .net and got a flat rate of $550.

Slow: "Walk into the court, smear feces on your face. Claim temporary insanity. Walk out later that day like a boss." .

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

If it's truly your first offense, it will likely get reduced anyway.

I use to live near the area that you were popped.

I have absolutely no sympathy for you, 80mph in that area is ridiculous.

I've done my fair share of speeding but never in an area like that.

Expect a sour the outcome; loudoun rarely gives out tickets but when they do they count and the judges rarely loosen their grip.

I live right down the street from there. That's a pretty high speed for that road.

Well I have sympathy for you. 79 MPH comes up pretty quick on a sportbike on a parkway. It doesn't sound like hooliganism to me, you just forgot yourself a little. I hope that you get a judge who thinks as I do, or can come to some agreeable arrangement with the prosecutor in Loudoun. I took photography classes at NVCC in the early 80s out there; it was mostly farm land in those days!
