Recommendations for things to see and do in India and Nepal - April 5, 2012, 09:26 AM

My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to India and Nepal. We're looking at flights leaving the last week in May and returning in late June. We plan on spending half our time in Nepal and half in India, flying into Kathmandu and New Delhi. I know many people on the board have lived in or visited India, so I thought I would solicit advice.

While in Nepal, you may want to go see the Ajanti Dagger.

I'll ping one of my buddies and see what he says. He spent a year over in India on assignment.

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

- Nicolo Machiavelli 1469-1527

Beaches in Goa are amazing provided you don't go during the monsoon season as I did the first time I was there.

Lots of Europeans took a vacation and never left. Weird hippie's from all over the world are very common.

From Nepal you could go to Darjeeling(India), Gangtok and hit the Chinese border(provided its calm). Try the roadside momo(dumplings) is Darjeeling
