Yeah so I'm sitting here since 8:30 this morning reading last year's Time magazines and waiting to either get selected for jury duty or be set free. In other news, Competition Accessories is having a sale on Michelin tires. Prices are very good on the pilots. Check that action out right here: http://www.compacc.com/s/Bargains_Sp...Sale_Tires.cfm

I wish I was in court because then I could at least feel either sorry for or contempt for some poor schmuck. I'm sitting in the computer room of the lobby because I have not been called in for selection yet. There's a cool little coffee maker here that lets you make coffee from little cartridges. I picked the espresso roast and chose 4 oz size, and it's almost like espresso. Pretty good, and the banana nut loaf is not bad either. My main complaint is that all the hot chicks got called upstairs in the first wave, and I'm stuck here with a handful of fuglies.

You should flash your genitals at them and when they look at you wink and give them the thumbs up. Fugly girls like that. If they turn you in, You can deny it, if they dont believe you then at least you get to go home without doing Jury Duty.

Yeah, I never saw this K-cup thing before. This is sweet! I'd love to have one of these babies at work.

Well, the highlight of my day was I got sent home w/o having to sit on a jury!

This court actually pays $40 and mileage ($0.55/mile, round trip). Not bad. FYI if you're a federal employee, forget it. They don't pay you the $40 because it's federal government who already pays you for the day anyway. Last month I wouldn't have gotten $40, but this month since I started working at GU, I get $40. YES!!!

been once, borring 3 days, land development case, we all agreed one guy got screwed, he offered to settle for like 80K, but the people refused, so we hit them for the full amount he was guaranteed in his contract, over 290K. Jackasses.

I've never actually sat on a jury before so I wouldn't mind getting selected once. I'm guessing that the cases in US District are probably pretty boring though. It's state and local that gets all the crazy stuff.

I'll bet if it was some "rocket biker" who was in for eluding the prosecution would send me home since I'm a rider.

I almost got put on an arson case.

Then the defense attorney asked me if I graduated college - I said yes so they threw me off.

Apparently educated people side with the prosecution more or something.

Too bad, those redneck lookin dudes looked pretty guilty, I was gonna fry em!
lol
