Unhappy RIP my grandfather - June 13, 2008, 09:40 PM

Just when you think everything is going well in your life, you get a call at work stating that your grandfather collapsed and passed away a few hours earlier. Sometimes life really knows how to kick you in the balls.

While I offer my condolences for your loss, I'm left here wondering why I care enough for you to post this to a bunch of strangers on the internet...?

There is an awful lot more stuff on the internet that is a greater waste of space that a guy/gal posting up something about his/her deceased grandfather. Probably just wanting some words of encouragement from people who have experienced a similar loss or maybe just felt like getting it off their chest.

Maybe he should have posted something important like discussing the McRib sandwich from McDonalds...?

You expect condolences from friends and family even co-workers. My posting here is entirely by choice and it comes from the heart.
I am very sorry for your loss. My grandfather was like a father to me and when he died I was crushed.
I think of him often.
May you find peace!
