Wow, the years have not been kind to him or Eric Bischoff. The inverse of aging gracefully...

I was a Wresting Fan during the faction war days in the mid-90's. WWF vs WCW (vs NWA) vs ECW (The REAL ECW of the 90's, not the new WWE reformation) who were in the NE and were absolutely INSANE hardcore.

As a matter of fact, WWF and WCW hired away ECW's best and most loved character wrestlers. Steve Austin (Stone Cold), Cactus Jack (Mankind), RVD, Raven, Dudley Boys, a few others I'm forgetting.

ECW didn't give a damn. Their wrestlers would do a flying elbow from the 2nd level balcony of an arena onto a guy laying on a table 20ft below. Throw a wrestler from a ceiling gantry. Wrestle in a ring whose ropes were made of barbed wire. Light each other on fire. Smack the crap out of one another with hammers and light bulbs. Taunt crowd members to jump in the ring, then beat the shit out of them.

Edit: Here's some video. Insane.
