safe place to park for a weekend near 66 and 81 - March 3, 2011, 05:37 PM

Going to meet family for a ride south and need to leave my car somewhere near I-66 and I-81 interchange.. Somewhere in Front Royal might also work. Need to leave my car for a few days and hopefully not get it towed or broken into... Any suggestions? A walmart parking lot?

Linden exit. Park in the gravel at the big gas station.

If traveling south on I-81 I'd go down to Woodstock exit and park in the Walmart parking lot which is right off the exit. (park towards the Walmart end of the lot). Random crime is extremely low here compared to Warren county. I've lived and worked in both.

can I leave the car at wallymart for (4 days) 3 nights?

I know overnight is ok with them.. but more than 1 or 2 nights might be a problem?

I don't know about all of them but the one in Woodstock usually has several large RVs with folks using it as a camp ground on their way to other destinations North/South on I-81. Never seen or heard of anyone getting chased off or towed.

There is a commuter lot right off 66 at Exit 6 in Front Royal.
