Sandblast & paint recommendations? - November 16, 2010, 05:29 PM

I need to have a utility trailer frame sandblasted & painted. Nothing fancy needed. Anyone have recommendations before I do a local search?

In some places you cant sand blast large pieces because you have to contain the sand. I heard it's unfriendly to the environment.

You can have it soda blasted but I don't know of anyone who does it or has had it done.

Probably doesn't have enough room to blast it but
www.FigureEngineering.com is good and local. len.mccreary@figurellc.com

The guy in Winchester I used. He's got a blasting room that is huuuuuge.

Yeah Len definitely does not have enough room to blast it or coat it. If you want it done cheap and fairly shitty though....their quality control is horrible try American Coatings in manassas, their oven is huge, but be warned it will not look like a show piece when done.

Hell, I may just scrap the sandblast idea. I just thought it would be the best way to handle a trailer that's been painted twice over 20 yrs and now has rust and flaking paint. I just want it prepped well so the next paint job will stick. The paint is simply a preservative measure.
