Or you could just pass on the 15mpg SUV and ride your 40mpg bike. I save about $120/month in gas.

I think they should give a tax brake to motorcyclist who commute!! We get the HOV lave but not the tax brake the hybrid cars get!

I just think motorcyclists should get free gas, while we're at it.

I love it when I pull up to a pump, see Joe Smoe who has been pumping for a few minutes, pump my 9 dollars worth and take off before he finishes.

Yeah, there's something to be said about pumping your own gas without your ass ever leaving the seat.

They should make a universal registry of Bike VIN#'s and invent special pump hoses and bike gas tank lids with computer chips like car keys that have to be hooked together to put gas in your bike (prevent use of gas cans & such). To get the pump to work you have to put the bikes VIN# in along with the registered owners "M" class license# & password or it won't pump gas.

This will help prevent bike thefts, illegal non licensed riders, and then they can send you a 1099 type form to use to deduct the amount you spent on bike gas on your taxes.

But hey.....What do I know? My wife swears I live in an alternate universe.

If you get gas in Jersey, does the attendant have to pump it if youre on a bike?

And how much would be spent on the employees needed to compile those receipts? Also, receipts don’t always print, some times they are out of paper, some times out of ink, and the ink is usually so light it cant be read, esp after a week or two, let alone 6 months. This is simply asinine.

They are relying on the laziness of citizens to not file and not receive the refund. (Getting the receipt every time, going inside when necessary, keeping, compiling, and mailing them in twice a year for what, $32 (400 gallons x$0.08 )?

If you are going to tax fine, then tax, but don’t pretend that you aren’t taxing the citizens.
