After 39.5 years, I am finally leaving this place. Having been born and raised in the area, I've come to develop a minor hatred for it. Over-population, shitty infrastructure, taxes, over-population, terrible public transit system, over-population, etc.

Settlement on the new Castle in Alabama is slated for mid-September. Our departure will probably be late September.

If anyone is interested in buying a nice 3 level town home in South Riding, let me know. New deck, new landscaping, upgraded HVAC with dual zone thermo's, new garage door & opener, new front entry (door, transom & sidelites). We will be fixing the hardwood floors on the 2nd level and replacing the carpet throughout. New paint, too.

So if any of yuns find yourselves down around the Huntsville/Birmingham area, give us a shout! I hope to make it back up to Summit for the 3 day CCS weekends and an occasional VIR race weekend, but not 100% sure.

Yep, me too. I think it's at just the right time.

Door is always open, dude. Plenty of room.

The backyard oasis will hopefully be complete before year-end, but we're still working out some details. Pool, fire pit, cool lighting....it's going to be awesome!

Hey man, don't know you, but wish ya the best. The midwest can be crazy during hurricane/tornado season. Stay planted to the ground out there.

Wish the timing was better on the TH... but then again, I wouldn't be nearly as nice as you are to them

You and Mrs. Castle will be missed.

Thanks! NE AL isn't as bad as some of the other parts, be we will definitely be on higher alert during the severe storm months.

Other than the one set of neighbors, we love it. Quiet, good friends & neighbors across the deck, good area out front that can't be developed, etc.

Thanks man, we will miss our friends the most.

We havent been in the area as long as you, maybe 6 years, and Im beginning to plan an escape route as well. Commuting from South Riding to pretty much anywhere east in the morning is just hell.

Best of luck my friend.

Me too. I'm hoping to keep my kids not too far away when I retire while getting far enough away from here to be worthwhile.

Congrats on the move dude. I'm sure the people down there are a lot nicer than the assholes up here.

Hope to catch you on the track or cornerworking before you guys hit the road.
