Seafood/crab legs - June 7, 2009, 11:52 AM

I understand that we are relatively far inland when it to comes to fresh off the boat seafood, but there has to be a good local dining establishment.

Mainly what I am looking for is something just north of Phillips quality and a shit load of crab legs. Any suggestions almighty seafood mongers?

If you don't mind cooking at home, I'd say pick up a $20 steamer and cook all the crab legs and shrimp you want. I used to go to Joe's Crab Shack ALOT, but started making my own and they are as good if not better than you can buy out (and far less expensive).

Snow crab legs can be found between $5 and $9 per pound depending on the store and sale. Steam them for 6 to 7 minutes and you're good to go...

Bloom has them for $4.99/lb. on occasion. The major stores (Bloom, Shoppers, Giant, Wegmans, Safeway) all seem to have them on sale pretty frequently.
