I need to put a new light fixture in my dinning room... do we have any electricians on the site that can lend a helping hand?

It's not as hard as you think. There are likely 3 wires. One connects to the metal bracket that the light bolts to. The other are standard + and - wires. the current light's wires are probably connected to the house wiring with wire nuts. Twist those off and pull the wires apart. Twist the new light's wires together with the house wires and twist on the wire nuts. Stuff the wiring up in the hole and bolt on the fixture.

There should be 2 nuts holding the fixture, once removed there will be 1 black (hot) 1 white (neutral) and 1 bare or green (ground) if there is a red wire leave it in the nut, ......that sounds vulgar Anyway, just connect the wires to their corresponding color and make sure the nuts are tight. Oh yeah, like lynn said turn off da juice.

I figured it would be easy... I will give it a try.

Anyone up for helping paint, change a screen on a door, fix a huge hole in a wall....

sounds like a fun weekend, to fix the hole in the wall home depot, leows, etc, has some tape to feel the hole however if the hole is to big you have to replace the sheetrock. If you can not get it done I have a guy who did my bathroom for me he is very reasonable and he does it all.

You girls should get one of those "squirty toilets" I forget what they are called, but I saw one in a fancy hotel once.

Never did figure out why it had a stopper...I guess some people bring gold fish on vacation with them or something.

Now ya tell me

Althought the one I had in my hotel room had water spouts from both sides that met in the middle. Thing is bad ass to turn on cold and run into your eyes after a night of drinking & gambling!

Well it was in Vegas.....anything goes.

Get a "Shenis". Saw one in a magazine. It's a funnel like thingy that allows women to stand up and pee (straight that is).
