Security guards watch beating and do nothing - February 12, 2010, 11:29 AM

Who's to blame? One news anchor claims in the video that the security guards "have a policy NOT to intervene in a violent situation". the other anchor is arguing that they should have been decent human beings and stopped the fight.

The security guards followed orders and did not physically touch either person during the beating. Were they bastards, or is the company bastards for the rule being in place (probably a rule to follow the law and avoid lawsuits).

keep in mind, if you steal shit or something, in most cases, security guards are NEVER allowed to touch you because they are not police.

go.

Rick Sanchez is a huge cockbag. To watch him even speak irritates me greatly.

Someone's mom didn't spank em enough. Can't even hit the girl in the front, has to sucker punch her from the back. Coward. As for security guards...I've seen mall cops tackle people and stop fights. WTF is up with seattle.

What do you do? Corporate policy is corporate policy.
You "do the right thing" and you risk getting fired; or worse, if you hurt one of the girls suddenly they sue you in a civil suit.

Security Guards are not there to stop two morons from beating the crap outta each other. That's a police issue.

Now if it turns into a brawl - ok, then you have to stop it for the security and safety of the other people in the mall.

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

+1

How many people from Walmart in the past year have gotten fired because they try to stop a shoplifter or fight back when attacked. Corporate policy says let them be.

Hmm,
The girl who ended up on the ground you can tell was looking for protection. she was around the Security guards and while the other girl was trying to attack her she was circling the guards.

I don't care what the policy is... it dont take much for 3 grown men to keep a 15 year old girl away from another 15 year old girl. Even if they formed a circle around her, then if the attacker hit them, then they could at the very least make a citizens arrest.

I am sorry, but i couldn't just sit back as causual as they are and of all things watching the girl get her head stomped in. Something should have snapped in some ones head and just created a barrier around the fallen chick...thats all defense..nothing done to the attacker and wouldnt break policy.

They need to take away the false title of "Security GUARD" and just call them orange Hat neighbor hood watch.....The watchmen.
sick.

I agree Von, but people are sue happy in this country. You see it all the time. I remember a civil suit where a woman sued the guy that pull her out of a burning car. She was paralyzed in the process. I mean he did the right thing and look where it landed him. He could have let her burn too.

All it takes is a dumb as kid to say something and have her friends back her story up. Then he has to fight it or settle.

Forget corporate policy, doing the right thing is what you hafta do. Above whatever some dbag supervisor or dbag ceo says. No jury in the world would convict them for pulling them two girls apart. Especially after seeing the one sided fight. Kids ain't got no honor these days.

Oh and Stillie, its not the starbucks, its the Facebook and the Google to blame.
