Below is a job description:
We are looking for a Senior level network engineer that has the following Senior level technical experience:
1. in designing, presenting, implementing, and troubleshooting multiple:
A. WAN sites (preferably 25+) utilizing MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS, HSRP, etc.
B. LAN devices (routers, switches, wireless, etc.) utilizing MPLS, BGP, OSPF, QoS, HSRP, EAP-FAST, etc.
B. types of connections - e.g. T1, Metro-E, DS3, OC3, etc.
C. types of sites or facilities - e.g. Data Center, Small (100 nodes) , Medium (up to 500), Large (up to 2000 nodes), Campus networks (2000+ nodes).
D. levels of redundancy for a healthcare organization or entity.
2. in producing detailed technical documentation for designing, implementing, and troubleshooting aforementioned types of network implementations.
3. in change management processes, standards, and documents - Remedy, implementation/design reviews, etc.
4. in demonstrating strong interpersonal skills with customers, project managers, peer engineers, etc.
5. in demonstrating strong work ethic that resulted in successful network implementation projects.
The Network Engineer?s role is to ensure the availability, stability, and
integrity of data, voice, video, and wireless network
services. This is achieved by planning, designing, and implementing local
area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and wireless LANs
(WLANs) across the organization. In addition, the Network Engineer will
participate in the installation, maintenance, support, and optimization of all
network hardware, software, and communication links. This individual will
also analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a
timely and accurate fashion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Develop and present network engineering design packages.
? Develop low-level design documentation.
? Plan, Design, and Implement Local Area Networks, including
development of configurations.
? Plan, Design, and Implement Wide Area Networks, including
development of configurations.
? Plan, Design, and Implement Wireless LANs, including development of
configurations.
? Knowledge of Voice over IP (VoIP) Networks, including development of
configurations.
? Implement routing protocols, including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.
? Troubleshooting and problem solving for network and application issues.
? Configure and assist with implementation of network hardware, including
routers, switches, wireless access points, Voice gateways, etc.
? Create and maintain network documentation as it relates to network
topology, equipment, and configuration.
? Interact and negotiate with vendors, consultants, and contractors to
design and implement network solutions.
? Perform network asset management, including maintenance of network
component inventory and related documentation and technical
specifications information.
? Make use of standard operating procedures and applications for service,
change, and incident management.
Required Skills
? Strong technical project management and engineering skills are
mandatory.
? Able to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
? Excellent customer service focus and analytical problem solving abilities.
? Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication and presentation
skills.
? Highly self motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
? In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF and MPLS
environments.
? Hands on experience with Cisco 3500, 3750, 4500, 6500 series
equipment.
? Knowledge of IP traffic flow, protocol analysis, capturing and monitoring
of live traffic streams.
? Ability to document all aspects of KPIT network and services provided to
users.

Environment.
? 7 to 10 years experience with Cisco equipment.
? 5+ years experience designing, evaluating and recommending
networking solutions.
? 7 to 10 years in the networking/telecommunications industry.
? 5+ years working with telecommunications vendors.
? Experience with large construction projects.
? VoIP and IP telephony knowledge
