I am stationed with these Marines and they are completely stand up guys. It doesn't suprise me that this kind of thing happens, but it certainly dissapoints me. Just wanted to post this for anyone who has an interest.

As the SO of a former Marine -- you're right, Viper, it's not surprising but indeed disappointing...

Thats discrimination.

Doesn't matter, EVERY citizen of the United States and many many many people of other countries around the world should bend down and kiss the ass of every single American soldier. Sure we have a few bad apples in the service but all have chosen a hard life and should be recognized for it.

The fact is without the United States Military, from the Marines to the coast guard, many of the privileges and lifestyles so many of us hold dear were earned at the cost of the lives of a US soldier. Wonder where we would be if Sadam was able to roll through Kuwait, How about most of Europe, where would they be without our soldier’s sacrifices against the communist army of the USSR. What about Germany, or Korea, or....I could go on all day. The fact is the WORLD owes is growth and stability to the soldiers of the United States. Those that disrespect the honor and sacrifice of the soldiers both past and present should loose their freedom and privileges given at the cost of a US Soldiers blood.

I've been on the reciving end of this type of behavior and still to this day my blood boils over it.

To deny a soldier the same privileges of any citizen off the street because of being a service member is the worst insult ever. These people should go live in a third world country for a while to remember why America is the great county it is.

on the base where i live, one of my coworkers bought a vehicle so his wife wouldnt have to walk home at night. For some reason he didnt want his wife sexually assaulted like the rest of the women that live there. I guess those women appreciate all that the military does. Ill have to have a talk with him when i get back

There are 2 bars by my GFs school down in GreenVille NC that will not allow Marines in there either... When I go to visither, I WILL not walk into those bars, I havea lng history of family in the Marines, and a lot of Marine friends.. F&$K those @$$holes.. These people fight for our country, and so you can keep your doors open, and you treat them like this.. Unacceptable!

generalizations and assumptions. overwhelmingly, I bet you there are more good seeds than bad seeds.

PS your co-worker sounds like a good dude. not having his wife walk home alone in a shady area!
