signed a contract with verizon, but they won't honor the bundle pricing... - July 20, 2010, 03:30 PM

back around march 2010, i signed up for verizon's "triple play bundle" which included fios tv, fios internet, and verizon wireless. i saved the screenshot of the checkout page where it clearly shows what the bundle pricing will be each month. fast forward to today, and verizon has no record of my order and i'm continually being over-charged each month. i've spent countless hours (easily over 12+ hours) on the phone with verizon to sort it out, but each month i get a bill that's much more than what i signed up for.

even with the over-charge, the total price is still less than what i'd be paying with cox cable, cox internet, and at&t cell service.

i'm tired of wasting more time on the phone trying to fix their screw-up. my gut reaction is to deduct the over-charge (~$25) each month, and pay them only what was on the original bundle agreement. but i'm sure that'll bring on the wolves, lawyers, threats of lawsuits, creditors calling all hours, bad credit, etc, and end up being a bigger mess for me to deal with in the end.

or just pay the add'l $25 they add on each month and concede that verizon won this war.

so, what would you do?

Is the over charge on the services, or taxes and fees etc. If its taxes and fees, well unfortunately that is what you signed up for.

no, the over-charge is on the base service charge, and doesn't include any add-on services, like data or txt messaging and doesn't include taxes either.

Shit, I just signed up for that. Did you get the free movie channels for the first 3 months? Check that out, might be the issue...

I would call billing a threaten to cut off service, I am surprised that verizon is being that crappy because I never have a problem with them. well, almost never.

yeah lesson learned = never sign up with verizon using their online ordering service. you WILL get fuct up in the a-hole because they WILL lose your order and start making up numbers.

i would threaten to cut service, but even with the over-charge it's still cheaper than anything else out there. i'm torn.

and like i said before, it's just the base service charges, no add-ons including movie channels. BASE service charge.

Write a letter to the state Consumer Protection Division, Federal Trade Commission, and FCC.
Include your documentation and the fact that they're pulling a bait and switch with their promotion offers and pricing.

I guarantee you within 30 days, you'll have a response and a resolution.

Good luck. Verizon customer service, especially FIOS customer service is facking horrible. It took me well over 24+ hours total time over 6 months on customer service getting my shit set up right when they kept changing shit I didn't ask for.

That being said, I haven't had any issues in a couple years... 50/35 internet (zoooom) and every channel FIOS has to offer.
