Snow - February 2, 2015, 12:50 AM

Thought of the night: it's snowing here; we need more words for snow. What is heavy snow called? A blizzard is snow AND wind, so that doesn't count. For rain, we have misting, drizzling, raining, pouring, then downpour. For snow, all we have is flurries and snowing. Need moar descriptiveness!

I still haven't gotten a good answer! There needs to be a word for it..

Just got home from work, there's a fresh 7" outside and it's still coming down hard. There needs to be a word for this!

There is a word for it. It's called SNOW. No coincidence it's a four letter word.

Snow. Or a snowstorm if it's bad enough.

A few flakes, flurries, light snow, snow, heavy snow, blizzard, and whiteout. I would think that would be sufficient.

You missed the point... gotta say it's snowing without using the word snow. If you say it's pouring, you don't have to say it's pouring rain.. everyone knows what you mean. Blizzards and whiteouts are two completely different things, those are both snow AND wind..

Dumping is a good term! I forgot about that one..

Went skiing today, was fucking awesome.
